Hi! My name is Tin, and I live in Austin, TX.
My Pokémon journey began in the ’90s when I first got into collecting trading cards. I was a huge fan of ’90s basketball cards and eventually ventured into Pokémon. I even convinced my mom to sell Pokémon cards at our family convenience store. Every now and then, she would reward me with a pack—sometimes for doing well in school, other times just for helping out around the shop.
I carefully stored all my cards in a dedicated binder, but as the years went on, life got busier with college and other priorities. Even so, my collection followed me from home to home, tucked away safely. Every once in a while, I’d flip through the pages, reminiscing, before putting them back into storage.
Then, in 2020, the Pokémon boom pulled me back in. It all started with helping my friends track down hard-to-find Pokémon products. From there, I dove deeper into the business side of the hobby—finding ways to source products affordably, discovering opportunities to serve the Pokémon community, and eventually streaming live Pokémon card breaks to share the experience online.
As I learned more about the card show scene, I started participating, meeting amazing people, and figuring out where I fit within the space.
Fast forward to today—I attend multiple card shows a month across Texas and continue to share my passion for Pokémon cards through my Twitch stream. Collecting has become more than just a hobby; it’s a way to create connections, spark excitement, and explore the potential value Pokémon cards can hold. I focus on making my approach family-friendly, thinking outside the box, and creating engaging, positive experiences for everyone involved.
Where this journey takes me next, I’m not sure—but I’m grateful to be on it.
